# MyJackfruit

> MyJackfruit is the service face of Gilb, the production app-building platform. Every account is a SystemVault (short: vault) the user owns. Apps visit the vault; what they write stays the user's when they change apps.

Vocabulary: the service is MyJackfruit. The platform is Gilb. The user's container is a SystemVault, called a vault; use no other noun for the container. The app shell is GilbApp, called the App.

- Signing up creates a vault the user owns.
- Records are typed at creation via the platform's shared type system, so every app on Gilb knows what a record is.
- Sharing is granted on the record itself (read or write), and every app visiting the vault honors the same grant.
- Family apps work the same vaults: GilbApp and MyNet read and write the same records.
- Developers build on Gilb today as plain files in Obsidian, using the platform's own standards, with the AI model they already use.
